Shooting

Exposing the crystal to x-rays doesn't do it any good, which is why the exposure time has to be planned carefully. A strategy for the data collection has to be adapted to the purpose of the data set. During the exposure the crystal is rotated in order to collect a complet dataset. The optimal collecting strategy takes into account the symmetry of the crystal (space group) and the orientation in the mounting loop.
