Protein structures are generally deposited in the protein database as scientific journals generally require. There are two parts of information: the atomic coordinates and the electron density map. Other databases classify proteins in different ways. For graphical presentation there is a whole series of programmes available.
wwPDB | atomic coordinates, cosortium of RSCB PDB, PDBe, PDBj |
EDS | electron density maps |
CATH | structure classification |
SCOP | structure classification |
CCP4MG | visualise and present data |
PYMOL | visualise data |
Jmol | visualise data |
